We offer full Radiator Repair Services, specializing in heavy equipment, heavy-duty trucks, farm tractors, etc.  We offer Recore-including Gensets, as well as complete radiator repair and sales.  In addition to these services, we also offer Fuel Tank Cleaning and Repair, Oil Cooler Repair, and Charge Air Cooler Cleaning and Repair.

Piedmont Radiator began from a conversation between father and son one evening, just before 1990.  Chubby Nunn was a diesel mechanic for a major trucking company and recognized a need for a radiator repair service within his industry.  As time passed, Jeff, took the idea and quickly began his research/training; enlisting mentorship from a grass roots radiator repair shop out West.

In 1991, Jeff Nunn finally opened his Radiator Works & A/C Service business at 1032 Curt Boyles Rd. King, NC.  Word quickly spread and Jeff needed additional help, so he hired/trained Scott Williams, current manager and repair technician.

As other business opportunities presented, Jeff decided to open a tire and automotive repair shop alongside his radiator shop.  He found a property within the city limits of King and in 1993, he opened, Piedmont Radiator & Tire.  Jeff's father, Chubby, later retired from his diesel mechanic job and went straight to work for Jeff in the radiator shop doing pickups and deliveries.

After 30+ years of owning/operating Piedmont Radiator & Tire, Jeff needed additional space to for the tire and automotive business.  Therefore, in Jan 2022, he moved the radiator repair part of the business back home to 1032 Curt Boyles Road, where it all began.   By the end of 2025, Sun Auto made an offer to purchase the tire and automotive repair side of the business.  Jeff gladly accepted the offer, and in April, 2025, we became Piedmont Radiator.
